Common questions

A product isn't found. ClearHalal uses Open Food Facts, a free, community-built product database. You can add a missing product at openfoodfacts.org, and it will work in ClearHalal soon after.

What's the difference between Zabiha and Non-Zabiha? Zabiha is strict: any doubtful ingredient fails. Non-Zabiha passes some doubtful ingredients, such as meat from a halal species without zabiha slaughter, but never anything that could be pork or an intoxicant. You can change this anytime in Settings.

What does "Mushbooh" mean? Doubtful: the ingredient could come from a permissible or a forbidden source, and the label doesn't say which. We ask manufacturers about doubtful ingredients and update results when they confirm.
