Terms of Use
Effective October 28, 2026
By using ClearHalal you agree to these terms. ClearHalal is operated by Said Shah.
Information, not a religious ruling
ClearHalal uses artificial intelligence to analyze ingredient lists, assess restaurants, and answer questions about Islam. AI can make mistakes, product formulations change, and scholars differ on many questions. Results are general information to help you decide; they are not a fatwa or a halal certification. When in doubt, look for a trusted halal certification on the package, confirm with the restaurant, and consult a qualified scholar. Allah knows best.
When an ingredient is marked "Verified by manufacturer", it reflects what the manufacturer told us at the time. We cannot guarantee manufacturers' statements or that a recipe hasn't changed since.
Using Zain
Zain answers questions about Islam and halal living only. Don't use it to seek urgent help: if you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services. Don't attempt to misuse Zain, for example by trying to make it ignore its rules or produce harmful content. We may limit or end access for accounts that misuse the service.
Third-party content
Product information and images come from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License. Restaurant listings, photos, and maps come from Google Maps and are subject to the Google Maps Terms of Service.
No warranty
ClearHalal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on information in the app.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms. Questions: support@clearhalalapp.com.
